1. Controller
Tobias Mattern, Bänschstr. 37, 10247 Berlin, Germany, email: me@tobc.de. No data protection officer has been appointed; the legal requirements (Art. 37 GDPR, § 38 BDSG) do not apply.
2. The most important part first
This is a static informational website. It sets no cookies and uses no trackers, no analytics, no ad networks and no external fonts. There are no user accounts.
3. Server log files
When you visit this site, the hosting provider technically processes log data (IP address, time, requested resource, user agent) to deliver the page and ensure operational security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is deleted after 7 days at the latest and is not combined with other data sources.
4. Weather feature ("Official temperature assessment")
The temperature display only becomes active when you click "Verify jurisdiction". Only then does your browser ask for permission to use your location. If you consent, your coordinates are rounded to two decimal places (accuracy roughly 1 km) in your browser and transmitted directly from your device to the Norwegian weather service: Meteorologisk institutt (MET Norway), Oslo, Norway - api.met.no. MET Norway technically also receives your IP address. Norway is part of the EEA, so the European level of data protection applies. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); simply not using the feature means no transmission takes place. This website stores neither your location nor the result. Weather data: MET Norway, licensed CC BY 4.0.
5. Local storage
The website remembers two things in your browser's local storage: your actively chosen language and whether you dismissed the (satirical) notice banner. Both are technically required for the service you requested (§ 25(2)(2) of the German TDDDG), never leave your device and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings. The banner tells the truth backwards: no cookies are actually set.
6. Contact by email
If you email me (for example via the press contact), I process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once this purpose is fulfilled. It is not shared with third parties; there is no newsletter list.
7. Your rights
Under Art. 15-21 GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BlnBDI), Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
8. Changes
This policy will be updated when the website changes (for example when the game is released on the App Store). The version published here applies.
File note: section 2 is the shortest and finest section of this policy. The Authority is unusually proud of it.
